Another full view. One of the bigger challenges of the project was coming up with a scale movie screen. Peter
White produced the very large photograph and mounted it to a piece of thin styrofoam board. Although there were
a lot of great ideas, the club eventually decided to go with "Rebel Without a Cause" starring James Dean.
From the screen looking back towards the scale wood fence, there's room there for at least 30 cars or more,
giving each member a chance to display a period-correct car in the diorama.
Here's a close-up of the ticket booth. Hey buddy, you might want to check the trunk of that car.....
What drive-in would be complete without a snack bar, projection booth, and rest rooms ?
There's also a small picnic area near the snack bar window.
A cherry '57 Chevy parks near the snack bar, next to the drive-in's own '55 Ford pickup.
